Luhur Uluwatu Temple is one Hindu temple in Bali. This temple is located in the region of Pecatu village, District of Kuta, Badung. This temple stands majestically at a height of 97 meters above sea level stand on the bridge and the high cliffs and jutting into the sea, on the southwestern tip of the island of Bali. The location of this temple is very beautiful and stunning, visitors who come to this temple, not only will feel the atmosphere of a religious, but also panoramic universes wonders the Almighty. As the temple was established with the conception Sad Winayaka, Luhur Uluwatu temple as one of the Sad Kahyangan temple to preserve Sad Kertih (Atma Kerti, Ocean Kerti, Danu Kerti, Wana Kerti, Jagat Kerti and Jana Kerti). Meanwhile, as the temple was founded by Padma Bhuwana Conception, Uluwatu was established as an aspect of Lord of the southwest. Worship of Lord Shiva Rudra is worship of God in giving energy to his creation.
This temple is also inhabited by a bunch of monkeys and forth in the temple area which attracted the attention of visitors. Supposedly, these monkeys are believed as the guardian of the temple. Just below this temple there Pecatu beach, this beach waves lure surfers from all over the world, and even international events are often held here.
